While the official reason for his stay is strictly “business purposes,” local reports indicate a notable event on his itinerary: an invitation-only classical concert. This exclusive event is hosted by Han Ji-hee, the wife of Shinsegae Group Chairman Chung Yong-jin, highlighting the close personal ties between Trump Jr. and the prominent Korean business leader.
Their relationship dates back to approximately 2010, characterized by frequent reciprocal visits between the U.S. and South Korea, fostering robust business-related exchanges. Trump Jr.’s previous trip to South Korea in April 2025, also at Chung’s invitation, included high-profile meetings with several key business leaders, further solidifying their professional network.
The focus of this cultural highlight is Han Ji-hee, Chairman Chung’s wife, who recently launched her debut classical album with Universal Music. This highly anticipated album features a prestigious collaboration with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of renowned Russian-British conductor Vasily Petrenko. The special commemorative concert for this release is set for Wednesday at the esteemed Lotte Concert Hall in Jamsil, Seoul, reinforcing its exclusivity as an invitation-only affair with no public ticket availability.
