Cortis' 'RedRed' Breaks Spotify Global Daily Chart
Cortis (Big Hit Music)

K-pop rookie sensation Cortis has made a powerful debut on Spotify’s prestigious Daily Top Songs Global chart with their latest pre-release track, ‘RedRed,’ dropped on April 20.

The captivating lead single from the rookie K-pop group’s upcoming second EP, ‘GreenGreen,’ impressively entered the global chart at No. 184 on April 22. This marks Cortis’s first-ever appearance on the highly competitive global ranking since their August debut, notably achieving the highest debut among all new entries that day.

Widely recognized as a crucial barometer for global music market trends, Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart entry signifies Cortis’s rising international influence. Beyond the global list, ‘RedRed’ also dominated 14 regional Daily Top Songs charts on April 22, reaching impressive peaks: No. 6 in Vietnam, No. 7 in Thailand, No. 13 in South Korea, and No. 21 in Hong Kong.

A significant factor in ‘RedRed’s’ rapid ascent is its engaging and viral choreography. The distinctive ‘flappy ears dance’ — a unique hand-waving move — has taken short-form video platforms by storm, generating widespread buzz. Cortis’s dedicated performance film for the choreography also saw remarkable success, hitting YouTube’s Daily Top Music Videos chart at No. 70 on April 21 and quickly climbing to No. 40 the next day. Meanwhile, the official ‘RedRed’ music video maintained strong viewership, charting for a third consecutive day at No. 43 on April 22.

Fans eagerly await the full release of Cortis’s highly anticipated second EP, ‘GreenGreen,’ on May 4. The exciting launch will be celebrated with an exclusive release party that same evening at S-Factory in Seongsu, eastern Seoul. Attendees can look forward to thrilling live performances of all six tracks from the new record, including the world premiere of four brand-new songs: ‘TNT,’ ‘ACAI,’ ‘Wassup,’ and ‘Blue Lips.’
