Singer Baek Ji Young is set to perform a congratulatory song at the wedding of Koyote member Shinji.
According to Star News on April 22nd, Baek Ji Young will be performing the celebratory song at Shinji’s wedding, which will take place on May 2nd at the Raum Art Center in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The two singers are long-standing senior and junior colleagues in the music industry, having debuted in the late 1990s. Shinji debuted in 1998, followed by Baek Ji Young in 1999. Shinji is six years younger than Baek Ji Young. In 2015, Shinji showcased their special bond by sharing a photo with Baek Ji Young on her personal SNS, writing, “15 years of friendship. I love you.”
Shinji personally asked her close friend Baek Ji Young to sing at the wedding, and Baek Ji Young reportedly accepted the request without hesitation. Baek Ji Young is expected to congratulate Shinji with her uniquely sweet voice.
Shinji is marrying singer Moon Won, who is seven years her junior. The couple is tying the knot approximately one year after revealing their marriage plans last June. Along with Baek Ji Young, numerous entertainment industry colleagues and peers are expected to attend the wedding to bless the couple’s future.
The couple first met in June 2024 when Moon Won appeared as a guest on MBC Standard FM’s ‘Lee Yoon Seok & Shinji’s Singgeul Banggeul Show,’ developing into a romantic relationship that same year. It is understood that they naturally decided to marry the following year.
Shinji announced her upcoming marriage on her Instagram in January, stating, “Living together, we’ve grown stronger, built trust, found a complete supporter in each other, and become more reliant. We’ve become even firmer. Moon Won and I will be holding our wedding in May, marking the start of the second chapter of my life.”
Aware of the concerns that arose when she first announced her marriage plans with Moon Won last year, Shinji added, “I am well aware of everyone’s loving worries and concerns. I will not forget them and will continue to move forward step by step, maintaining a consistent and unchanging presence.”

Shinji and Moon Won had been secretly preparing for their wedding last year, but their plans became public knowledge when they held their wedding photoshoot in June of that year.
At the time, Shinji revealed on her personal channel, “Considering the busy schedule starting with a Sydney concert this year (2025), Koyote’s album, and domestic tour concerts, we hastily held our wedding photoshoot in advance.” She added, “As we continue to date beautifully, I will do my best to personally share news about the wedding next year.” The couple also showcased their musical chemistry by releasing a duet song, ‘Salagadoola,’ in June last year.
Subsequently, Shinji uploaded a video to her YouTube channel ‘Eotteoshinji,’ introducing Moon Won to fellow Koyote members Kim Jong Min and Bbaek Ga. During this process, it was revealed that Moon Won is a divorcee with a child from a previous marriage. He also faced criticism as various allegations surfaced regarding his past, including claims of infidelity, harassment of subordinates during military service, and real estate fraud.
In response, Moon Won clarified, “The claims of bullying friends or subordinates during my school days and military service are absolutely false.” He further stated that he had a consensual divorce with his ex-wife and worked as a real estate assistant broker after completing job training. He denied all other allegations. Shinji also drew a clear line, stating, “All allegations related to my fiancé are untrue.”
Despite the controversies, Shinji continued to express her unwavering affection for Moon Won, receiving public support. She also revealed that she and Moon Won had already moved in together, showcasing their three-story detached house, which will serve as their newlywed home, through her YouTube channel.
