K-pop powerhouse Seventeen’s popular track “Thunder” has officially surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, Pledis Entertainment announced on Monday. This significant achievement highlights the global reach and enduring appeal of the beloved K-pop group.
This milestone makes “Thunder” the 20th song from Seventeen, including singles released by their acclaimed subunits, to reach the coveted 100 million stream count on the leading music platform.
The electrifying electronic dance tune serves as the lead single from their highly successful fifth full-length album, “Happy Burstday,” originally released in May 2025. This landmark album, commemorating the group’s 10th year, shattered sales records by moving over 2 million copies on its release day alone and secured an impressive No. 2 spot on the prestigious Billboard 200 chart.
Domestically, the chart-topping single achieved the No. 1 position across all major South Korean music charts, including Melon’s Top 100. Its undeniable appeal also led Seventeen to collect eight coveted trophies from various television music chart programs, solidifying its immense popularity.
Following the successful conclusion of their international “New_” tour earlier this month, Seventeen is set to continue engaging with their dedicated fanbase. The group will host highly anticipated fan meetups in Japan in May, followed by another special event in Incheon, South Korea, in June, promising more unforgettable moments for their loyal supporters.
