K-pop star Miyeon of (G)I-DLE is gearing up for a significant appearance at a major music festival in Japan, further solidifying her presence in the global music scene.

Fans can catch Miyeon’s anticipated performance at the Pia Arena MM in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, this Saturday. She will be a highlight act at the JJ50th Anniversary Fest 2026, popularly known as the JJ Festival.

This special event celebrates the 50th anniversary of the renowned Japanese fashion magazine JJ, promising a diverse and exciting lineup of artists for attendees.

Miyeon is expected to deliver a powerful live performance, continuing to build on her thriving solo career. This follows the successful release of her second EP, “My, Lover,” in 2025, which garnered significant attention.

Her previous activities in Japan include a notable appearance at the Mynavi Tokyo Girls Collection 2026 Spring/Summer fashion festival in March. During this event, Miyeon captivated audiences with performances of “Say My Name” and “Don’t Ever Say Goodbye,” a collaborative track with Japanese producer Naoki Wada.

Beyond her solo ventures, her group, (G)I-DLE, also made significant strides in Japan last year with the release of their Japanese EP, “(G)I-DLE,” and their inaugural arena tour, “2025 (G)I-DLE First Japan Tour.”

The group’s impact extends to Japanese animation, with several of their songs featured in popular series. Notably, “Invincible” was selected as the opening theme for “Beyblade X Season 3,” alongside “Hide and Seek.”

(G)I-DLE is scheduled to return to Yokohama for their “2026 (G)I-DLE World Tour [Syncopation] in Yokohama,” with performances set for June 20 and 21, promising another memorable experience for Japanese fans.
