Fans from 188 regions join livestream to celebrate the boy group’s return
K-pop sensation Tomorrow X Together (TXT) captivated approximately 3,000 fans at their highly anticipated comeback showcase for their eighth EP, “7th Year: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns,” held Monday in Seoul.
This approximately 80-minute event not only welcomed fans selected via a raffle system but was also globally livestreamed, reaching audiences from an impressive 188 countries and regions – including South Korea, the US, Japan, and China – via the fan platform Weverse and Hybe Labels’ YouTube channel.
This latest EP holds significant meaning as it marks TXT’s first official release since the boy group renewed its contract with Big Hit Music last August.
Reflecting on this milestone, the members expressed, “After renewing our contracts, it feels like we’re back in our first year again. We’re working just as hard. We’re happy to begin this new chapter with you and will continue to do our best. Now is TXT’s time.”
The showcase kicked off with a powerful performance of the album’s main track, “Stick With You.” During an engaging talk segment, the TXT members delighted fans with behind-the-scenes stories from the album’s production, insights into prerelease promotions, and never-before-heard details about the music video shoot – notably featuring actor Jeon Jong-seo.
TXT further showcased their versatility with a rearranged medley of beloved love songs, including “Higher Than Heaven,” “Over The Moon,” “0X1=Lovesong (I Know I Love You) feat. Seori,” “The Killa (I Belong to You),” “Back for More,” and a captivating reprise of “Stick With You.”
The boy group continued to impress with a dynamic performance of the EP’s B-side, “So What,” a track known for its candid and playful exploration of anxieties and future concerns. The encore segment saw the members deliver heartfelt performances of fan-favorites “Miracle,” “I’ll See You There Tomorrow,” “Moa Diary (Dubaddu Wari Wari),” and “Blue Spring.”
The comprehensive six-track EP, “7th Year: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns,” profoundly encapsulates the collective thoughts and emotions the five Tomorrow X Together members have experienced throughout their seven-year journey since debut. In addition to the main title track, the EP features “Bed of Thorns,” “Take Me to Nirvana (feat. Vinida Weng),” “So What,” “21st Century Romance,” and “The Next Next.”
