Leading Korean beauty firm, APR, recently hosted a high-level delegation from Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) at its advanced manufacturing and logistics facilities in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. This significant visit underscores the surging global demand for K-beauty products and APR’s pivotal role in meeting it with cutting-edge automated technologies.
The FBA delegation, spearheaded by Piyush Saraogi, Vice President of FBA’s Worldwide Business, thoroughly toured APR Factory Campus 2. They observed state-of-the-art surface mount technology, efficient assembly and inspection lines, and the sophisticated two-story fulfillment center, showcasing APR’s robust operational infrastructure.
Amazon officials expressed significant interest in APR’s fully automated production system for Medicube’s innovative beauty devices. They praised the plant’s proven capabilities in maximizing operational efficiency and its strategic approach to navigating global supply chain challenges, especially in light of the escalating demand for APR’s diverse product portfolio.
Commissioned in May 2024, APR Factory Campus 2 is a cornerstone of Medicube’s home beauty device production, specifically for the highly popular AGE-R lineup, boasting an impressive annual capacity of up to 6 million units. APR highlighted its sophisticated smart factory system, which enables real-time, data-driven monitoring of every production stage. The company is actively expanding automation across its assembly lines and plans further automation initiatives in additional areas to meet future growth.
