KT, a leading telecommunications and digital platform provider, announced Sunday the official launch of its new **Information Protection Advisory Committee**. This strategic initiative is designed to significantly enhance KT’s **cybersecurity capabilities** and fortify its defenses against the rapidly evolving **threat landscape** reshaped by **artificial intelligence (AI)** and widespread **digital transformation**.

The newly established committee comprises a distinguished panel of top **cybersecurity, AI, and legal experts**. Their core mission is to provide crucial strategic advice on advanced **AI security technologies**, the implementation of robust **zero-trust architecture**, comprehensive **cloud security** protocols, sophisticated monitoring and authentication systems, effective **cyberattack response** strategies, compliance with stringent **global security standards**, and fostering broader cooperation across the entire **security ecosystem**.

Esteemed members contributing their expertise include Park Choon-sik, director of the Korea Zero Trust Security Association; Jeong Eun-su, professor of digital security at Cheongju University; Kwak Jin, professor of cyberspace at Ajou University; Yoon Myung-keun, professor of artificial intelligence at Kookmin University; Philip H. Kim, senior adviser at Kim & Chang; Park Cheol-jun, professor at Kyung Hee University’s College of Software; and Choi Kwang-hee, senior adviser at Shin & Kim.

This critical new **Information Protection Advisory Committee** strategically complements KT’s existing **Personal Information Protection Advisory Committee**, which was inaugurated earlier this year. Together, these two powerful bodies complete a comprehensive **governance framework** that meticulously addresses both enterprise-wide **cybersecurity** and the utmost diligence in **personal data protection**.

While the personal information protection committee focuses primarily on issues such as the lawful processing and ethical use of customer data, the new **cybersecurity advisory body** will concentrate on guiding KT’s overarching **companywide information security strategy**. This encompasses pivotal areas like dedicated **AI security**, robust **cloud security**, the strategic adoption of **zero-trust architecture**, and continuous **security technology innovation** to stay ahead of emerging threats.

“**Information security** in this era of rapid **AI transformation** is a fundamental promise a company makes to its customers,” stated Park Yoon-young, CEO of KT, underscoring the company’s unwavering commitment to digital trust and safety.

“By drawing on the committee’s unparalleled expertise and insights, we are dedicated to strengthening our **security capabilities** and firmly establishing KT as **Korea’s safest and most trusted AX platform company**,” Park affirmed, outlining KT’s vision for a secure and innovative digital future.
