Standard Chartered Bank Korea is setting new benchmarks in private banking, expanding its services beyond traditional wealth management to offer exclusive art and specialized education programs tailored for its affluent clients and their families. This strategic move aims to provide unparalleled lifestyle enrichment opportunities and deepen relationships with high-net-worth individuals.

As part of these premium offerings, Standard Chartered Bank Korea recently hosted an exclusive art-focused event on June 18. The program, designed for private banking clients and prospective customers with assets exceeding 1 billion won ($649,000), underscored the bank’s commitment to delivering unique experiences.

Titled “2026 Master Class: The Beginning of Art Collecting,” the event was held at Seoul Auction’s prestigious Gangnam Center in Cheongdam-dong. Participants engaged in a comprehensive lecture on art investing and collecting, complemented by an insightful guided tour of curated artworks. A senior auctioneer from Seoul Auction shared expert insights into dynamic art market trends, intricate auction mechanics, and effective collecting strategies. Attendees had the unique opportunity to view works by leading Korean modern and contemporary artists alongside renowned international names.

Further demonstrating its commitment to client families, Standard Chartered Bank Korea is actively accepting applications for its “2026 Global Future Leader Program.” This distinguished three-day mentoring course is specifically designed for the children of the bank’s high-net-worth clients, fostering the next generation of leaders.

Scheduled from July 31 to August 2 at the bank’s headquarters, the “Global Future Leader Program” boasts an exceptional faculty, featuring mentors from the globally acclaimed Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. The curriculum is meticulously crafted to cultivate critical thinking, leadership capabilities, and sophisticated problem-solving skills among young participants.

Students can select from three rigorous academic tracks: science, engineering, and medicine; social sciences; and humanities, ensuring a personalized and enriching educational experience. Eligibility for this exclusive program extends to 40 middle and high school students whose parents maintain at least 500 million won in assets with Standard Chartered Bank Korea. Applications will be accepted through June 30, urging interested families to apply promptly for this transformative opportunity.

This initiative by Standard Chartered Bank Korea reflects a broader industry trend where private banks are increasingly differentiating themselves through innovative lifestyle, educational, and invaluable networking services. These bespoke offerings are crucial for cultivating stronger, more enduring relationships with affluent clients and their entire families, extending beyond purely financial services.

“We are dedicated to continuously introducing premium lifestyle programs that are perfectly tailored to our private banking clients. Concurrently, we actively encourage more eligible families to seize the exceptional opportunity presented by the Global Future Leader Program,” stated Kim Ji-kang, head of Standard Chartered Korea’s Affluent Business Division, emphasizing the bank’s holistic approach to client well-being and development.
