LX Pantos proudly announced its official membership in the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) this Wednesday, solidifying its profound commitment to fostering an inclusive corporate culture anchored in gender equality and women’s empowerment. This strategic move underscores the company’s dedication to creating a more equitable environment for all employees.
The Women’s Empowerment Principles, a distinguished framework collaboratively established by the UN Global Compact and UN Women, offers essential guidelines for advancing women’s rights and promoting gender equality across various business facets, including workplaces, supply chains, and local communities. This impactful global initiative has garnered participation from over 12,000 companies worldwide, with more than 100 Korean enterprises joining its ranks.
Comprising seven comprehensive principles, the WEPs framework addresses critical areas such as leadership accountability, ensuring equal opportunity, promoting workplace safety and well-being, supporting professional development for women, encouraging inclusive supply chains, and mandating transparent reporting on gender equality progress.
LX Pantos has consistently amplified its ESG initiatives in recent years, notably becoming a signatory to the UN Global Compact in 2023. Its recent participation in the WEPs further reaffirms the company’s unwavering commitment to cultivating a workplace that champions equity and inclusion as core values.
“A truly diverse and inclusive corporate culture is not merely a goal, but a fundamental cornerstone of our sustained competitiveness and long-term success,” stated Lee Yong-ho, CEO of LX Pantos.
He further elaborated, “LX Pantos is resolute in its pursuit of sustainable growth, always built upon the bedrock of mutual respect and unwavering trust shared among every single employee.”
