Coupang has solidified its position as South Korea’s leading commerce application, securing the most users in the first quarter of 2026, according to a report by market research firm Wiseapp Retail Goods.
The e-commerce giant recorded an impressive 33.25 million monthly active users between January and March, placing it firmly at the top. Following in popularity, secondhand marketplace Karrot attracted 23.19 million users, while the prominent food delivery app Baemin secured the third spot with 22.55 million.
The landscape of popular commerce apps in the country also featured other significant players, including Coupang Eats, the fashion platform Ably, beauty retail leader Olive Young, and the increasingly influential Chinese e-commerce services, AliExpress and Temu.
Beyond its dominant user base, Coupang also demonstrated superior engagement, leading in both average usage time and high revisit rates. This robust performance underscores strong user loyalty compared to its competitors. Wiseapp Retail Goods confirmed that these market estimates are derived from comprehensive sample data gathered from Android and iOS users across Korea.
