Global music sensation BTS continues its dominant run, holding the top spot across major Billboard global charts for an impressive fourth consecutive week, fueled by the phenomenal success of their latest album, “Arirang.”
According to Billboard’s most recent charts, dated April 25, the critically acclaimed lead single from “Arirang,” titled “Swim,” has remarkably maintained its No. 1 position on both the prestigious Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts for four weeks running.
The widespread appeal of the “Arirang” album is further evident, with thirteen of its tracks — all except the instrumental interlude “No. 29,” which features the distinctive Bell of King Seongdeok — charting on the Global 200. Furthermore, all thirteen of these tracks secured positions within the top 50 of the Global Excl. US chart, clearly indicating sustained global interest in BTS’s music.
Beyond the global charts, the “Arirang” album and its standout tracks have consistently performed strongly on Billboard’s highly competitive main charts. The album “Arirang” itself impressively secured the No. 3 spot on the coveted Billboard 200 albums chart, while the hit single “Swim” ascended to No. 10 on the influential Hot 100.
The enduring popularity of “Arirang” is highlighted by several additional album tracks, including the powerful lead single “Body to Body,” “2.0,” and “Hooligan,” which have all maintained their presence on the Hot 100 chart for four consecutive weeks, charting at Nos. 69, 88, and 90, respectively.
BTS’s exceptional chart domination extends across various other key Billboard metrics. The K-pop superstars topped the digital song sales chart for a fourth consecutive week, while also achieving No. 2 for overall album sales, No. 3 for vinyl albums, No. 4 for streaming albums, and securing a top 5 position at No. 5 on the prestigious Artist 100 chart.
In parallel with their chart-topping success, BTS recently launched their highly anticipated “Arirang” world tour. The monumental tour began at Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province on April 9 and successfully concluded a two-day concert series in Tokyo on Saturday, captivating over 240,000 enthusiastic fans.
The global phenomenon will now embark on the North American leg of the “Arirang” tour, with upcoming performances scheduled in Tampa, Florida, on April 25, 26, and 28. Following 15 electrifying shows across the United States and Mexico, BTS will return to Korea for special concerts in Busan on June 12 and 13. This ambitious “Arirang” tour is planned to encompass an unprecedented 85 shows across 34 cities worldwide, solidifying its place as the largest single tour ever undertaken by a Korean musical act.
