Katseye’s “Pinky Up” Soars to New Heights, Marking Fourth Billboard Hot 100 Entry and Global Success Post-Coachella
Katseye, the multinational girl group formed in partnership between Hybe and Geffen Records, has achieved its highest placement yet on the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 with its latest single, “Pinky Up.”
According to the latest chart released by Billboard on Tuesday, “Pinky Up” debuted impressively at No. 28 on the Hot 100, marking the rising group’s best performance on the main songs chart to date.
“Pinky Up” is Katseye’s fourth consecutive entry on the highly competitive chart, following their successful tracks “Gnarly,” “Gabriela,” and “Internet Girl.” Previously, “Internet Girl” peaked at No. 29, while “Gnarly” and “Gabriela” debuted at No. 92 and No. 94, respectively, showcasing Katseye’s consistent presence.
The global impact of “Pinky Up” extends beyond the US. The song reached a career-high No. 14 on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100 for the week of April 17-23. Furthermore, it ranked No. 18 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart for April 10-16, claiming the highest position among new entries during that period, demonstrating its widespread international appeal.
The multinational girl group first captivated audiences with a live performance of “Pinky Up” during the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, on April 10. The performance was delivered to an enthusiastic crowd of around 60,000 festival-goers.
Following their memorable Coachella debut, the single swiftly gained significant traction across social media platforms. Hybe and Geffen Records reported that an average of more than 7,000 TikTok videos featuring “Pinky Up” were created daily from April 13 to Monday, with approximately 30 percent of these viral creations originating from the United States.
Katseye is now preparing for the release of their highly anticipated third EP, “Wild,” scheduled for August.
