K-pop sensation (G)I-DLE has officially canceled the North American leg of their ongoing “Syncopation” world tour, which was originally scheduled for August. The group’s agency, Cube Entertainment, confirmed the decision on Monday.
Cube Entertainment stated that the difficult decision was made after “comprehensively considering global activity strategy, local schedules, and overall conditions.” The agency further assured fans, “We are diligently preparing to meet fans with more refined performances and diverse activities in the future.”
The canceled North American tour dates included performances in 10 cities across three countries. These were Hamilton, Ontario (Canada); Newark, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Orlando, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Oakland, and Seattle (USA); and Mexico City (Mexico).
While the North American segment has been called off, fans in other regions can still look forward to the “Syncopation” tour. Upcoming performances in Australia, Singapore, Japan, and Hong Kong will proceed as planned, according to the agency.
(G)I-DLE’s “Syncopation” world tour successfully commenced in February at the Kspo Dome in Seoul, followed by well-received concerts in Taiwan and Thailand. In additional news for their fanbase, the popular girl group is also set to release a new album in July.
