Galaxy Corp., the innovative entertainment agency famously known for managing global superstar G-Dragon, has proudly announced the establishment of its Middle East subsidiary in Dubai. This landmark move marks Galaxy Corp. as the very first Korean entertainment company to establish a dedicated regional base within the dynamic United Arab Emirates.

The company officially launched Galaxy ME on Friday, outlining ambitious plans to significantly accelerate its global expansion strategy. This will be achieved through strategic partnerships with key government bodies and leading institutions across the UAE, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a burgeoning global hub.

In a pivotal meeting on Thursday, Cho Sung-hae, who serves as CEO of Galaxy ME and co-founder of Galaxy Corporation, engaged in discussions with Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the esteemed Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai. Their conversation focused on exploring promising opportunities for collaboration in the rapidly evolving sectors of media and advanced technologies.

“During a constructive meeting with Cho Sung-hae, CEO of Galaxy ME and Co-Founder of Galaxy Corporation, we explored significant opportunities for collaboration in media and advanced technologies,” Ahmed bin Mohammed shared in a social media post. He further emphasized the goal of “supporting efforts to further strengthen Dubai’s position as a premier global hub for cutting-edge content creation and the thriving creative economy.”

“The Dubai Media Council remains committed to forging strategic partnerships with both regional and international stakeholders,” he continued, adding that this approach aims at “opening new avenues for innovation and significantly contributing to the robust development of the media sector across the entire region and beyond.”

Cho Sung-hae underscored the profound long-term vision driving this strategic move, stating that Galaxy Corp. aims to seamlessly combine culture and cutting-edge technology. The objective is to develop pioneering new industries, prominently centered on artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics, through deep partnership with the UAE.

Galaxy Corp. confirmed its intention to leverage its new Dubai entity as a strategic hub for robust global media expansion. This involves integrating advanced AI- and robotics-based content production capabilities with the UAE’s world-class infrastructure, thereby creating unprecedented new business opportunities.

The company is actively pursuing its innovative “Entertech 2.0” strategy, a holistic approach that synergizes artificial intelligence, robotics, and advanced media technologies. A key focus of this strategy is on expanding into burgeoning emerging markets across the Global South, encompassing developing regions within Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

“Even amidst a period characterized by significant global uncertainty, we made the strategic decision to establish our Middle East hub in Dubai,” stated Choi Yong-ho, CEO of Galaxy Corp. He affirmed, “This decision stems from our profound confidence in the UAE’s visionary outlook and exceptional execution capabilities. Galaxy is poised to pioneer and build a brand new industry right here, by intricately combining AI, robotics, and compelling content.”
