Lotte Duty Free proudly announced its return to Incheon Airport, resuming full operations in the prestigious DF1 zone after a three-year hiatus. This significant reopening marks a major milestone for travelers seeking premium duty-free experiences at Korea’s main international gateway.

Securing a robust 10-year operational contract, Lotte Duty Free anticipates substantial growth, projecting annual revenue exceeding 600 billion won ($405.3 million). This long-term commitment underscores their confidence in the vibrant global travel retail market and their strategic position at Incheon International Airport.

Lotte Duty Free’s selection as the exclusive DF1 operator in February highlights its unparalleled four decades of global travel retail experience and proven operational expertise. This track record spans major domestic airports like Gimpo, Gimhae, and Jeju, alongside prominent international hubs such as Singapore Changi Airport and various locations in Vietnam. Furthermore, its remarkable financial stability, evidenced by achieving operating profits for four consecutive quarters last year—a unique accomplishment among domestic duty-free operators—solidified its winning bid.

Within the expansive DF1 zone, Lotte Duty Free proudly presents 15 state-of-the-art stores featuring an impressive portfolio of approximately 240 renowned international and local brands. Travelers can explore a diverse selection of luxury cosmetics and perfumes from iconic names like Chanel, La Mer, and Dior, alongside premium liquor and tobacco offerings from Ballantine’s, Johnnie Walker, and KT&G. The stores also showcase esteemed food brands, including the popular Korea Ginseng Corp., ensuring a comprehensive and high-quality shopping experience for every visitor.

Committed to delivering an exceptional customer journey, Lotte Duty Free plans to elevate the shopping environment through meticulously curated brand and product zones, specifically tailored to meet the diverse preferences of both domestic and international travelers. This dedication extends to integrating innovative digital interactive content across its stores, promising a modern and engaging retail experience.

To celebrate its grand reopening, Lotte Duty Free is excited to launch the “Opening Festa” promotion. This exclusive event offers a wealth of online and offline benefits designed to reward shoppers, including exciting travel prizes, significant shopping discounts, and valuable partnerships with leading payment platforms and hotels, enhancing the overall travel retail value.

Yang Hee-sang, head of the sales division at Lotte Duty Free, emphasized the airport’s significance, stating, “Incheon Airport serves as a symbolic gateway, shaping travelers’ crucial first and last impressions of Korea. We are dedicated to making that impression memorable through our world-class duty-free offerings.”

He further added, “As we joyfully welcome customers back after three years, we are committed to close collaboration with the airport authority. Our goal is to cultivate a premier duty-free shopping environment that truly satisfies the diverse needs and desires of both local and international travelers.”
