Genesis, the prestigious luxury automotive brand from South Korean giant Hyundai Motor Group, has been honored as the “Best Brand Overall” in a significant readers’ survey conducted by the renowned German automotive magazine Auto Bild.
This esteemed recognition holds considerable weight, given Auto Bild’s reputation as a highly trusted and influential automotive media outlet throughout Germany and across the broader European market. Its surveys frequently guide consumer purchasing decisions for new vehicles.
Since its European market debut in 2021, Genesis has strategically expanded its presence. Initially launching in Germany, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the luxury brand has successfully grown its footprint to include France, Italy, and the Netherlands. Further demonstrating its commitment to the European continent, Genesis plans an upcoming launch in Spain within the current year.
This year’s Auto Bild survey saw unprecedented participation, with over 50,000 readers casting their votes. They meticulously evaluated 52 automotive brands across 14 distinct categories, assessing crucial factors such as vehicle quality, innovative design, and competitive pricing.
Notably, this achievement marks a historic milestone: it is the first time a Korean automotive brand has secured the coveted top position in the survey, triumphing over long-established European premium marques like Porsche. Beyond the overall win, Genesis also proudly claimed the “Best Luxury Class” title. Furthermore, within the competitive luxury segment, it earned the highest scores in the critical “Value for Money” category, powerfully reinforcing its strong market competitiveness in Europe’s demanding automotive landscape.
Genesis attributes this significant recognition to its balanced and comprehensive competitiveness. The brand consistently delivers an impressive blend of superior quality, advanced safety systems, sophisticated design aesthetics, and cutting-edge convenience features, all while offering compelling value for money.
“This recognition is a testament to our long-term strategy of building enduring brand value, rather than merely prioritizing short-term sales objectives,” stated Lee Si-hyuk, head of the Genesis business division. He affirmed Genesis’s commitment to further strengthening its European market presence through distinctive design, pioneering technology, and unparalleled retail experiences.
