NCSoft unveiled its ambitious growth strategy, targeting 5 trillion won ($3.4 billion) in annual revenue by 2030. The announcement was made during the 2026 Management Strategy Briefing held at the company’s R&D Center in Pangyo, Seongnam.
The South Korean game developer outlined three key pillars for achieving its financial goals: expanding its established gaming franchises, creating new and innovative intellectual properties (IPs), and aggressively growing its mobile casual gaming presence. The company will continue to invest in and support its major franchises, including the popular Lineage series, Aion, Guild Wars 2, and Blade & Soul.
To bolster its IP portfolio, NCSoft is adopting a dual approach. This involves both strengthening its internal development capabilities and actively pursuing global publishing opportunities.
NCSoft has a robust pipeline with over 10 internally developed titles and at least six publishing projects in the works. These games span diverse genres, including massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs), shooter games, subculture-focused titles, and action RPGs.
According to Co-CEO Park Byung-moo, NCSoft is also committed to entering and expanding within the mobile casual gaming market. The company plans to leverage its extensive data analytics expertise and its experience in operating live games to achieve success in this sector.
Before reaching its 5 trillion won revenue target, NCSoft has set an interim goal of 2.5 trillion won ($1.7 billion). The company also aims to maintain a return on equity (ROE) of over 15 percent by 2030.
Anel Ceman, who heads NCSoft’s mobile casual center, detailed the company’s comprehensive strategy for establishing a thriving global mobile casual gaming ecosystem.
The approach involves a five-step development process. This includes testing numerous game concepts annually, rapid prototyping, A/B testing, and rigorous data analysis with real players. Successful titles will be scaled based on performance data, and LiveOps will be implemented to ensure long-term player engagement.
NCSoft has already initiated its expansion into the global mobile casual gaming space by forging partnerships and making strategic investments in development studios located in Europe, Southeast Asia, and Korea. Notable partners and investments include Moving Eye, LeHuhu, and Springcomes.
“As our portfolio expands, sustainable growth will become possible,” stated Ceman. “NCSoft has established the systems needed to run a data-driven mobile casual business and is ready for rapid growth.”
