Korean Air has announced an extension to the suspension of its Incheon (ICN) to Dubai (DXB) route until March 15th, citing ongoing tensions in the Middle East. The South Korean flag carrier made the announcement Friday.
Flights KE951 and KE952, operating daily between Incheon International Airport in South Korea and Dubai International Airport in the UAE, have faced disruptions, including diversions and cancellations, since February 28th following reported U.S.-Israeli military actions in Iran.
The temporary suspension of the popular route was originally scheduled to end this Sunday.
“We received notification from Dubai airport authorities regarding a flight restriction extended through March 15th,” stated a Korean Air official. “A decision regarding resumption of flights after this date will be made based on a careful assessment of the evolving situation.” This extension affects travelers planning trips between South Korea and Dubai.
