McDonald’s Korea announced the successful completion of its 2026 Manager Convention, uniting approximately 1,400 managers from its nearly 400 restaurants across South Korea.

The convention, structured into three separate two-day sessions throughout February, served as a platform to acknowledge the dedication of restaurant managers who oversee daily operations nationwide. It also aimed to foster stronger organizational cohesion and a sense of pride among the management team.

Attendees engaged in discussions about crucial operational objectives for the upcoming year and participated in diverse programs curated by McDonald’s Korea. These included an awards gala recognizing outstanding performance and morale-boosting celebratory performances.

A key feature of the convention was the “Challenge Golden Bell,” an engaging quiz program that generated significant participation. Managers tested their knowledge on various subjects, including McDonald’s brand history, customer service benchmarks, and the company’s corporate culture, reinforcing their grasp of its fundamental principles.

“Restaurant managers are vital to McDonald’s Korea’s ongoing success,” stated a company spokesperson. “Aligned with our people-centric management philosophy, we are committed to investing in educational initiatives that enhance the professionalism and capabilities of our employees.”

McDonald’s Korea emphasizes its commitment to employee advancement through an inclusive recruitment process, free from bias related to academic qualifications, age, or gender. They also highlighted a well-defined talent development program. The company proudly noted that approximately 50% of McDonald’s Korea’s headquarters staff began their careers within its restaurants, underscoring its dedication to internal promotions and career progression opportunities.
