South Korean Trade Minister Yeo Han-koo held a meeting with a delegation of visiting U.S. lawmakers from the Congressional Study Group on Korea (CSGK) on Thursday to discuss enhanced trade and investment cooperation, according to Yeo’s office.
Minister Yeo engaged with six members of the CSGK in Seoul, including Representatives Ami Bera (D-CA), Ryan Zinke (R-MT), Mark Pocan (D-WI), Mary Gay Scanlon (D-PA), Jill Tokuda (D-HI), and Patrick Harrigan (R-NC), to exchange perspectives on pressing trade matters between South Korea and the United States, as announced by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources.
During the meeting, both parties acknowledged the evolution of Seoul-Washington relations beyond a traditional security alliance to encompass robust economic and technological partnerships. They explored avenues to further broaden bilateral collaboration in trade and investment, emphasizing mutual benefits and shared interests.
