KT Appoints Park Yoon-young as CEO, Prioritizes AI Expansion
KT Corp. named Park Yoon-young as its new chief executive officer on Tuesday, marking a significant leadership change as the telecom giant focuses on stabilizing management and accelerating its strategic push into artificial intelligence. This move underscores KT’s commitment to becoming a leader in the AI-driven technology landscape.
The appointment was officially confirmed at KT’s 44th annual shareholders meeting held at the company’s R&D Center in Seoul. Park’s nomination successfully secured approval from over 60 percent of the participating voting shares, demonstrating strong support for his vision and leadership. His term as CEO will extend through the 2029 shareholders meeting, providing a stable foundation for long-term strategic initiatives.
In his initial message to employees and stakeholders, Park outlined his commitment to driving innovation and expanding KT’s presence in the rapidly evolving AI market. Park’s term will officially end on March 31, 2026.
