The figure includes both real-time viewers and those who tuned in within the first 24 hours after the broadcast, according to Netflix.

Following its premiere, “BTS the Comeback Live: Arirang” soared to the top of Netflix’s weekly non-English series chart with an impressive 13.1 million views for the week ending March 22, according to the company. Netflix calculates views for its charts by dividing the total viewing time by the running time.

The concert also dominated weekly charts in 24 countries, including South Korea, Mexico, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Bulgaria. It also debuted in the top 10 in a remarkable 80 countries worldwide.

The K-pop group held the live performance at Gwanghwamun Square on Saturday night, performing in front of tens of thousands of fans to celebrate the release of their fifth studio album, “Arirang,” which was released the previous day.

The event generated a massive buzz online. Netflix reports that BTS-related content on its official channels amassed 2.62 billion impressions, and hashtags associated with BTS and Netflix trended in numerous countries, including the United States, South Korea, the Philippines, Australia, Malaysia, India, Thailand, Argentina, Britain, and Turkey.

Netflix is set to release a behind-the-scenes documentary film, “BTS: The Return,” this Friday, offering an inside look at the creation of the new album.
