Nol Universe, a leading South Korean travel and entertainment platform, has announced a partnership with Woori Bank and Kona I to introduce a new prepaid card service designed specifically for international visitors to South Korea.
This strategic collaboration aims to enhance the financial convenience and accessibility for tourists exploring Korea. The three entities are working diligently to establish the necessary infrastructure to facilitate the official launch of the prepaid card in April.
The prepaid card will be accessible through Nol World, Nol Universe’s comprehensive platform that combines travel, entertainment, and ticketing solutions. Tourists will have the option to acquire the card as part of bundled packages including K-pop concert tickets and curated tourism experiences, or as a standalone product.
Kona I, a prominent Korean fintech company specializing in payment solutions, will ensure the card’s functionality as a transportation card while also enabling seamless payments at both online and brick-and-mortar establishments. Furthermore, Kona I will offer exclusive benefits at popular retailers frequented by international tourists.
Woori Bank will facilitate the distribution of the prepaid cards at its currency exchange booths located within Incheon Airport, enabling travelers to utilize the service immediately upon arrival in Korea. The bank will also provide currency exchange and top-up services through its network of foreign exchange kiosks and ATMs.
“Nol Universe is committed to expanding its services tailored for foreign visitors, extending beyond platform management to encompass the entirety of the Korean travel journey,” stated Hong Seong-kyu, Head of Business Strategy at Nol Universe.
He emphasized that the introduction of the prepaid card will contribute to a more seamless and convenient travel experience, while simultaneously strengthening the connection with the Nol World platform.
