The Global E-Mobility Alliance Network (GEAN), headquartered on Jeju Island, announced the recipients of its 2026 GEAN Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions to the global electric mobility sector.
The 2026 GEAN Awards and Special Awards ceremony will take place on March 25th during the opening of the 13th International e-Mobility Expo at Jeju Shinhwa World.
This year’s GEAN Awards will honor LS Electric (South Korea), the Nansha District Government (China), and the Malaysia Electric Vehicle Association for their significant achievements in accelerating electrification, expanding e-mobility infrastructure, promoting electric vehicle adoption, and advancing smart city initiatives within Southeast Asia.
The 2026 GEAN Special Award will be presented to the Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering, Electronic Times (South Korean technology media), and the China Automotive Journalists Association for their instrumental roles in supporting the growth of the e-mobility industry and strengthening GEAN’s global cooperative network.
Established in 2016 at the 3rd International Electric Vehicle Expo, GEAN has been presenting these awards annually during its general assembly, held in conjunction with the expo. Past honorees include industry leaders like Nissan, BYD, Samsung SDI, the International Electrotechnical Commission, Hanwha Aerospace, Danfoss, the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, and CATL.
GEAN functions as a pivotal global collaboration platform within the e-mobility arena, uniting approximately 80 organizations from over 30 countries. This includes EV associations from the US, Japan, and ASEAN, alongside prominent international companies and institutions.
The 13th International e-Mobility Expo, scheduled from March 24th to 27th at Jeju Shinhwa World and surrounding venues, anticipates participation from more than 50 countries, showcasing the latest advancements and emerging trends in electric mobility.
