RBW announced Wednesday that its subsidiary, WM Entertainment, has finalized an agreement to fully acquire 257 Entertainment’s business operations and has begun integrating the two companies.
As part of the agreement, WM Entertainment will acquire 257 Entertainment’s intellectual property, exclusive artist contracts, and personnel.
Following the acquisition, Park Jae-yong, CEO of 257 Entertainment, will join Kim Jin-woo, the current CEO, as co-CEO of WM Entertainment, creating a dual leadership structure.
Xlov, launched in January 2025, is the first K-pop boy group to embrace a genderless concept, comprised of members Rui, Haru, Wumuti, and Hyun. These members previously gained recognition through prominent audition programs like Mnet’s “Boys Planet” and have cultivated a significant international fanbase prior to their debut.
Kim Jin-woo, CEO of RBW, emphasized the company’s appreciation for 257 Entertainment’s “creative approach” and anticipates that the acquisition will foster substantial synergies by combining the business infrastructure and expertise of RBW, DSP Media, and WM Entertainment.
“We are committed to maximizing the global reach and intellectual property of Xlov,” he stated.
Park Jae-yong added that this deal will facilitate the accelerated expansion of K-pop trends throughout the global market.
