A K-pop artist has made history by receiving an honor at the prestigious British music ceremony, held this year in Manchester.
“APT.,” the pre-release single from her debut studio album “rosie,” captivated audiences worldwide after its October 2024 release.
The song blends upbeat pop melodies with a catchy hook influenced by the popular Korean drinking game, “apartment game.” It achieved a remarkable 45-week presence on the Billboard Hot 100, a record for a K-pop song, reaching a peak position of number three.
In September 2025, “APT.” garnered two awards at the MTV Video Music Awards, including the coveted Song of the Year title.
The track also received nominations for Song of the Year, Record of the Year — two of the “general field” categories — and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at this year’s Grammy Awards.
