South Korean stocks surged to a record high on Thursday, with the KOSPI benchmark index surpassing 5,600 points for the first time ever. The market’s bullish momentum was largely fueled by significant gains in large-cap technology stocks.
The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) opened trading at 5,642.09, a substantial increase of 135.08 points, or 2.45 percent, compared to the previous trading session’s closing value.
