Hanjin Logistics announced on Wednesday the doubling of capacity at its second fulfillment center in Los Angeles, aimed at supporting the increasing demand for Korean beauty (K-beauty) products in the North American market.
This expansion marks the company’s third significant investment in the region. Hanjin initially opened its first 10,600-square-meter fulfillment center in Los Angeles in 2022, followed by an expansion in 2024 and the launch of the second facility in 2025.
According to data from South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, cosmetics exports to the United States reached a record high of 3.23 trillion won ($2.2 billion) in 2025, demonstrating a 15.1 percent increase year-over-year.
Hanjin’s Los Angeles fulfillment centers offer comprehensive logistics solutions, including business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) distribution, freight forwarding services, and retail channel connectivity, facilitating Korean brands’ successful entry into the North American market.
The expanded facility is equipped with advanced automation systems, featuring autonomous mobile robots for picking and sorting, along with in-house developed packing kiosks designed to enhance operational efficiency.
“We undertook this third expansion to ensure stable and integrated logistics services in response to the growing global demand for K-brands,” stated a Hanjin official. “We are committed to being a strong partner, leveraging our unparalleled logistics capabilities to empower Korean brands to achieve strong competitiveness in the global marketplace.”
Beyond its North American operations, Hanjin is actively growing its global network. In December, the company established a new fulfillment center in Amsterdam, specifically designed to support Korean beauty brands serving the European market.
