Get ready, ARMY! BTS is set to ignite Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul with their comeback concert, “BTS The Comeback Live: Arirang,” on March 21! Hybe, in collaboration with the Seoul metropolitan government, is planning to welcome an estimated 15,000 fans to the highly anticipated event, with both standing and reserved seating sections available.
This free concert marks BTS’s grand return to the stage following the release of their fifth studio album, “Arirang,” named after the iconic Korean folk song. It’s their first album since “Proof” in June 2022 and the first since all members completed their mandatory military service. Get ready for new music and unforgettable performances!
The concert promises a spectacular opening! The seven members of BTS will begin their journey from inside Gyeongbok Palace, making their way through the majestic Gwanghwamun gate and the “woldae,” a historic ceremonial stage, before taking the stage at the northern end of the square.
For those eager to get up close and personal with BTS, applications for 2,000 standing tickets opened on Tuesday through Hybe’s Weverse platform for fans who preordered the “Arirang” album.
According to the seating plan revealed by Hybe, the stage will boast a T-shaped design with an extended runway, allowing BTS to connect with fans in the standing area. Reserved seats will be situated behind the standing zone along Gwanghwamun Square. Keep an eye out for ticket availability, starting February 23 through the Nol online ticketing service!
To accommodate even more fans, Hybe is reportedly considering installing a large outdoor screen near Seoul Plaza in front of City Hall. Authorities are preparing for a massive turnout, with police anticipating a crowd of up to 230,000 people around the concert site, potentially swelling to 260,000 if the crowd reaches toward Sungnyemun gate.
For fans around the globe who can’t make it to Seoul, don’t despair! The “BTS The Comeback Live: Arirang” concert will be broadcast live on Netflix in over 190 countries, marking the first time a major South Korean event will be streamed globally in real-time on the platform. Don’t miss this historic event!
