NCSoft announced Tuesday the appointment of Mervin Lee Kwai, a seasoned gaming executive, as Vice President of Operations at NC America. He will be responsible for overseeing publishing and live-service operations across North America and Europe.
Kwai brings a wealth of experience, spanning 23 years in the global publishing arena, with a specialization in massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs). His career includes leadership roles in publishing and live services for prominent titles at companies like Amazon Games, Sony Online Entertainment, and Trion Worlds.
Most recently at Amazon Games, Kwai was instrumental in the global launch and ongoing live service management of Korean-developed PC and console MMORPGs, notably “Throne and Liberty.” NCSoft highlighted his comprehensive understanding of both the Korean and Western gaming landscapes as a key asset.
Looking ahead, the Korean gaming powerhouse is gearing up for the global release of new MMORPG and shooter games in 2026, including the highly anticipated “Aion 2” and “Cinder City.”
