Hyundai Motor has proudly unveiled the fully redesigned Avante compact sedan, significantly enhancing cabin space and integrating its latest software and artificial intelligence features into one of South Korea’s most iconic passenger vehicles. This exciting eighth-generation Hyundai Avante sets a new standard in its class.

Making its highly anticipated global debut on Friday at the 2026 Busan Mobility Show, held at BEXCO in the southeastern port city of Busan, the all-new Avante marks a significant evolution. This model arrives just six years after the successful launch of the seventh-generation Avante in 2020, showcasing Hyundai’s rapid innovation cycle.

A standout enhancement is found within the cabin. The revamped Hyundai Avante now features Pleos Connect, Hyundai’s cutting-edge next-generation infotainment system. This advanced platform seamlessly integrates Gleo AI, a generative artificial intelligence agent designed to empower drivers to effortlessly control vehicle functions and access information through intuitive conversational commands.

The exterior of the redesigned Avante boasts sharper proportions, complemented by a wider, lower stance that exudes a dynamic presence. Internally, a significantly larger cabin pushes this Avante closer to the midsize segment, offering superior comfort and utility. Compared to its predecessor, the new Avante is an impressive 55 millimeters longer, with its wheelbase extended by 30 millimeters and overall width increased by 30 millimeters, creating a more commanding road presence.

Under the hood, the powertrain lineup for the new Hyundai Avante includes a robust 2.0-liter gasoline engine and an efficient 1.6-liter hybrid option. The gasoline model delivers a spirited 149 horsepower, marking a notable increase of 26 horsepower from the previous version. Meanwhile, the hybrid variant provides a combined output of 157 horsepower, balancing performance with fuel efficiency.

Jose Munoz, CEO of Hyundai Motor, affirmed, “The all-new Avante establishes a fresh benchmark for its segment by presenting a harmonious blend of distinctive design, a truly spacious interior, advanced safety features, and immersive digital experiences. Hyundai Motor is dedicated to continually bolstering its competitiveness in software development and electrification to deliver unparalleled, innovative mobility experiences to our customers.”

Prospective buyers eager to learn more about the all-new Avante can anticipate detailed trim levels, comprehensive specification information, and precise pricing details to be released in the third quarter. Hyundai will also commence taking orders for this revolutionary compact sedan during the same period.

At the ongoing Busan Mobility Show, which runs from Friday to Monday, Hyundai has curated an expansive 2,040 square-meter exhibition space. This immersive zone prominently features an interactive experience dedicated to Pleos Connect, highlighted by the all-new Avante and the new Grandeur, inviting visitors to explore cutting-edge connectivity.

Beyond the Avante, the automaker is proudly showcasing its diverse range of eco-friendly vehicles, including groundbreaking electric vehicles and advanced hydrogen models. This impressive display includes the popular Ioniq 5, the striking New Ioniq 6, the anticipated Ioniq 9, the versatile Kona Electric, the luxurious New Staria Limousine Electric, and the innovative all-new Nexo, reinforcing Hyundai’s commitment to sustainable mobility solutions.
