BTS member Jimin has claimed the coveted first position in the highly anticipated June 2026 Boy Group Individual Brand Reputation rankings. This achievement highlights his enduring popularity and strong influence within the K-pop industry.

The Korea Brand Reputation Research Institute conducted an extensive analysis, extracting 69,657,692 pieces of brand big data from 755 individual boy group members between May 20 and June 20. The brand reputation index was meticulously calculated using a comprehensive assessment of participation, media coverage, communication, and community engagement. Notably, the overall big data volume for this period experienced a 5.0% reduction compared to the 73,323,673 pieces gathered in May.

Jimin’s impressive brand reputation index for June was recorded at 5,596,023. Although still topping the charts, this figure represents a 13.21% decrease from his May index of 6,447,417. A detailed breakdown of his sub-indices reveals: 200,984 for participation, 506,846 for media interest, 1,974,251 for communication, and 2,913,942 for community engagement.

Securing the second spot was BTS’s Jungkook, with a brand reputation index of 5,011,439, an 8.80% decrease from the previous month. Wanna One’s Park Jihoon ranked third, tallying 4,229,246, which was down 23.25%. Following them, BTS’s Jin claimed fourth place with 3,478,836, and BIGBANG’s G-Dragon completed the top five with 2,206,883.

The extended top 30 rankings for June included other highly influential K-pop idols such as BTS’s V, EXO’s Baekhyun, TVXQ’s Yunho, Cortis members Geonho and Seonghyun, Wanna One’s Kim Jaehwan, NCT’s Doyoung, Wanna One’s Hwang Minhyun, and BTS’s Suga, RM, and J-Hope. The brand reputation index is a comprehensive metric designed to assess the influence of online habits on brand consumption. It evaluates factors like positive-negative sentiment, media engagement, consumer interest, and overall communication volume, providing insights into public perception.

Koo Chang-hwan, director of the Korea Brand Reputation Research Institute, offered a detailed brand analysis for BTS’s Jimin. He explained, “For BTS Jimin, who ranked first in the June 2026 Boy Group Individual Brand Reputation, link analysis revealed strong associations with terms like ‘happy,’ ‘special,’ and ‘joyful.’ Keyword analysis prominently highlighted ‘ARMY,’ ‘Busan concert,’ and ‘homecoming.’ Additionally, the positive-negative ratio analysis indicated an impressive 94.55% positive sentiment for the brand.”
