K-pop sensation Joshua of Seventeen is slated to deliver a significant speech at a UNESCO youth event on June 25, as confirmed by his agency, Pledis Entertainment, on Tuesday. This high-profile address underscores the group’s growing influence on global youth initiatives.
Representing the acclaimed K-pop group, Joshua will address attendees at UNESCO’s headquarters in Paris. His speech will champion the ‘Going Together — For Youth Creativity & Well-being’ global youth support program, a powerful joint initiative born from the collaboration between Seventeen and UNESCO, aimed at fostering youth creativity and well-being worldwide.
The 13-member K-pop phenomenon, Seventeen, proudly earned their appointment as UNESCO’s youth goodwill ambassadors in 2024. Demonstrating their commitment to global youth development, the group notably donated $1 million to establish and fund the extensive global youth grant scheme. Furthering their philanthropic efforts, last month, Seventeen also contributed an undisclosed sum to support underprivileged middle school students in Laos, coinciding with the 11th anniversary of their impactful debut.
In other group activities, Seventeen is also gearing up to host their highly anticipated ‘Seventeen in Carat Land’ fan meetups in Incheon this Saturday and Sunday, offering fans a unique opportunity to connect with the stars.
