South Korean actor and K-pop idol Lee Jun-young is set to begin his mandatory military service on July 21. His agency, Billions, confirmed that there will be no special public events to mark his enlistment, ensuring a private transition for the star.
Lee Jun-young conveyed his personal feelings in a handwritten letter shared with fans on his social media account. He expressed having many thoughts after his enlistment date was finalized, promising his dedicated followers to remain healthy and return as his true self.
Rising to prominence as a member of the K-pop boy band U-KISS in 2014, Lee Jun-young successfully diversified his career by venturing into acting in 2017. His notable roles include performances in the critically acclaimed military action drama “D.P.” and the intense crime thriller “Weak Hero Class 2,” showcasing his versatility in K-dramas.
Further expanding his artistic endeavors, Lee Jun-young released his debut solo album, “Last Dance,” last year. Fans can currently catch him in the JTBC comedy series “Reborn Rookie,” where he continues to demonstrate his acting prowess.
