The highly anticipated Busan concert for global sensation BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) experienced a significant delay, starting 1 hour and 15 minutes later than scheduled.
According to officials on June 12th, the ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ARIRANG IN BUSAN’ concert, held at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium in Yeonje-gu, Busan, faced substantial delays in audience entry, consequently pushing back the start of the performance.
Originally, the concert was slated to begin at 7:00 PM. However, due to difficulties in getting all audience members inside, the show eventually commenced at 8:15 PM, 75 minutes behind schedule.
Throughout the day, various social media platforms and online communities were flooded with posts from frustrated fans who reported being unable to enter the venue even by the scheduled 7:00 PM start time. Fans, who had arrived early to queue, reportedly faced confusion during the distribution of fan gifts due to a shortage of items for attendees. Additionally, issues with personal identity verification procedures were also cited as contributing to the delays.
Following the 1 hour and 15 minute delay, the BTS concert successfully proceeded. In response to the significant operational issues, HYBE, the group’s agency, issued an official statement and apology on Weverse regarding the concert delay.
HYBE stated, “We deeply apologize for causing significant inconvenience to all audience members who came to watch the BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN BUSAN concert held on June 12th, due to the delay in the concert’s start. We made our utmost preparations to ensure a meaningful experience for our audience and to avoid any operational oversight. However, the main performance was delayed due to a complex combination of on-site guidance confusion, bottlenecks in the queue for fan gift distribution, and delays in merchandise collection.” The agency added, “We sincerely apologize once again for the great disappointment and inconvenience caused to the audience members who waited a long time to attend the concert. For the performance taking place tomorrow, we will thoroughly review and improve all aspects of on-site operations, including entry and gift distribution, to ensure that the same chaotic situation does not occur.”
