A Twosome Place is set to bring the acclaimed premium US ice cream brand, Van Leeuwen, to Korea this summer. The highly anticipated launch will commence with its flagship store opening near Seoul’s bustling Gangnam Station.
The prominent Korean cafe chain has finalized a master franchise agreement with Van Leeuwen, granting it exclusive rights to manage and expand the brand’s operations across the nation. Following the initial Gangnam launch, A Twosome Place plans to strategically open two additional Van Leeuwen locations within major commercial districts throughout Seoul later this year, aiming for a total of three stores.
Van Leeuwen, which began its journey as an ice cream truck in New York in 2008, has cultivated a sterling reputation for its exquisite French-style ice cream. The brand is celebrated for its commitment to quality, utilizing only premium ingredients and authentic natural flavors to create its distinctive offerings.
A hallmark of Van Leeuwen’s super-premium ice cream is its remarkably rich and indulgent texture, achieved by incorporating more than double the amount of egg yolks typically found in standard ice cream recipes.
A Twosome Place expressed its enthusiasm to introduce Korean consumers to Van Leeuwen’s iconic New York scoop shop culture, delivering a truly premium dessert experience unlike any other.
“Our Gangnam store will serve as a gateway to Van Leeuwen’s rich brand heritage, offering Korean customers a novel and unforgettable super-premium ice cream experience,” stated an official from A Twosome Place, highlighting the brand’s unique value proposition.
