CJ Olive Young is set to launch its inaugural global festival tour in Japan next month, marking a significant step in its efforts to expand the worldwide appeal and reach of K-beauty. This landmark event underscores the company’s commitment to bringing top Korean beauty trends to a global audience.
On Monday, the leading health and beauty retailer confirmed it will host the much-anticipated “Olive Young Festa Japan 2026” from May 8 to 10. The event will take place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, serving as the exciting overseas debut for Olive Young’s flagship beauty extravaganza.
First introduced in 2019, Olive Young Festa has established itself as Korea’s largest beauty festival, celebrated for its direct consumer engagement and immersive experiences. This year, the company is strategically taking the event abroad to solidify its global presence, bolstered by its robust distribution network, which includes thriving cross-border e-commerce, expanding US offline stores, and key partnerships with international beauty retailers like Sephora.
The upcoming Japan festival promises an unparalleled K-beauty experience, featuring 55 prominent brands showcasing the latest trending Korean beauty products. Attendees can look forward to highly immersive, retail-style interactions within a venue meticulously designed to replicate the distinctive Olive Young store atmosphere. The space will include themed walkways inspired by the vibrant shopping districts of Seoul, such as Myeong-dong and Hongdae.
Key attractions at Olive Young Festa Japan include the exclusive “K-Cosmetics Ranking Zone,” which will display 36 top-performing products across 12 diverse categories from the prestigious 2025 Olive Young Awards. Additionally, the “K-Beauty Select Zone” will offer expertly curated skincare and makeup routines specifically tailored to meet the preferences of local Japanese consumers.
To enhance visitor engagement, on-site staff, branded as “K-Beauty Genius,” will provide personalized consultations and expert advice. Interactive programs such as professional makeup touch-ups, advanced skin diagnostics, and exciting product giveaways are planned to offer a dynamic and informative experience for all attendees.
Visitors will also discover the exclusive “Oriyang Limited Zone,” where they can find special discounted bundled K-beauty products, offering exceptional value and unique purchasing opportunities.
An Olive Young official confirmed that the Japan event is merely the starting point for its ambitious “Festa World Tour.” Following this successful debut, a larger-scale K-beauty festival is already slated for Los Angeles in August, further cementing Olive Young’s strategic global expansion plans.
