The latest album from K-pop sensation Tomorrow X Together (TXT) earned 69,000 equivalent album units in its first week, according to a chart preview released Sunday (U.S. time). This successful debut marks the group’s eighth top 10 entry on the highly competitive Billboard 200 albums chart.
On the charts, TXT’s new release positioned itself just behind country singer Ella Langley’s “Dandelion” and Morgan Wallen’s “I’m the Problem,” showcasing a strong performance amidst popular releases.
Meanwhile, global superstar group BTS also maintained a strong presence on the chart with their latest album, “Arirang,” which secured the No. 4 spot. The album registered 62,000 equivalent album units, reflecting a 21 percent decline from its performance a week earlier. Notably, “Arirang” had previously topped the Billboard 200 chart for three consecutive weeks before moving to No. 3 in the preceding week.
For context, the Billboard 200 chart serves as the definitive ranking of the most popular albums each week across the United States. Its methodology involves calculating “equivalent album units,” which comprehensively account for various consumption metrics: traditional physical and digital album sales, along with streaming activity and individual digital track downloads, all converted into album sales equivalents.
