K-pop sensation Cortis’s highly anticipated second EP has already garnered significant attention, logging over 855,000 presaves on Spotify, as announced by their agency Big Hit Music on Friday.
This impressive feat propelled the burgeoning rookie K-pop group to the No. 3 spot on Spotify’s prestigious Countdown Chart Global, placing them just behind global music powerhouses Olivia Rodrigo and Noah Kahan.
The five-member group, Cortis, is set to release their second EP, titled “GreenGreen,” on May 4. As of Thursday, the album has already accumulated more than 2 million preorders. This strong showing fuels high expectations that “GreenGreen” will surpass 2 million unit sales, mirroring the success of their debut album, EP “Color Outside the Lines.”
Cortis recently unveiled the lead single from the mini-album, “RedRed,” on Monday, which swiftly amassed over 1.3 million plays on Spotify within the same day. Remarkably, in just over eight months since their debut, Cortis has achieved an astounding cumulative total of more than 500 million streams across the platform.
