Kwon Eun-bi, Former IZ*ONE Star, Joins RBW (Mamamoo’s Agency) Following Woollim Departure and Galaxy Corp Negotiations
K-Pop sensation and former IZ*ONE leader, Kwon Eun-bi, has officially signed an exclusive contract with RBW, the esteemed agency behind popular girl group Mamamoo, the company announced.
In a statement released on Wednesday, RBW expressed their enthusiasm, stating, “We are pleased to accompany Kwon Eun-bi on the next chapter of her musical journey. We will provide full support so she can further expand her musical capabilities and continue her career across various fields.” This partnership marks a significant step for Kwon Eun-bi’s solo career.
This significant career move follows Kwon Eun-bi’s departure from Woollim Entertainment in March, concluding a nearly decade-long relationship that spanned her trainee period and early career. Her decision not to renew her contract upon its expiration led to the amicable parting.
Prior to joining RBW, Kwon Eun-bi had engaged in discussions with Galaxy Corporation, the prominent agency renowned for representing global superstar G-Dragon. However, negotiations reportedly did not finalize at the last stage, primarily due to differing contract terms.
Galaxy Corporation, an innovative AI-driven entertainment company, continues to expand its impressive roster of high-profile artists, featuring talents like acclaimed actor Song Kang-ho and popular singers Kim Jong-kook and Taemin of SHINee. The company is at the forefront of integrating advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and robotics into its content production strategies.
Kwon Eun-bi’s diverse career began with her debut in 2014 as a member of the girl group Ye-A. She garnered significant recognition and widespread popularity through Mnet’s highly successful audition program “Produce 48,” which ultimately led to her prominent debut in the beloved project group IZ*ONE. After IZ*ONE’s disbandment, she successfully transitioned into a thriving solo career, captivating fans with hit tracks including “Door,” “Glitch,” “Underwater,” “The Flash,” and “Hello Stranger.”
RBW, her new agency, is also renowned for managing other talented acts, including the band Onewe, and boasts a strong presence in the K-Pop industry through its subsidiaries such as DSP Media and WM Entertainment.
