Girl group to release first LP in two years
Global K-pop sensation Aespa is gearing up for their highly anticipated comeback, set to release their second full-length album, titled “Lemonade,” on May 29, as confirmed by SM Entertainment on Monday.
The new Aespa album, “Lemonade,” will captivate fans with 10 diverse tracks spanning various genres, showcasing the group’s expanded musical spectrum. Renowned for their distinctive universe-driven concept, Aespa is poised to deepen their compelling storytelling and present a more mature, evolved sound with this exciting new release.
Since their impactful debut, Aespa has consistently captured global attention with their signature “metallic” identity. This unique sonic and visual concept seamlessly blends intense, industrial-influenced music with a striking futuristic, cyberpunk aesthetic, setting them apart in the K-pop landscape.
Their previous album, “Armageddon,” achieved immense commercial success, dominating domestic music streaming platforms like Melon with a prolonged No. 1 run across all major charts. Aespa’s critical acclaim was also evident through top prizes at major year-end award ceremonies, including the coveted Song of the Year award at the 2024 Mnet Asian Music Awards. Further cementing their global impact, the talented K-pop girl group was honored as Group of the Year by Billboard Women in Music 2025.
Significantly, “Lemonade” marks Aespa’s first full-length album in approximately two years, following the immense success of “Armageddon” released in May 2024. This highly anticipated project also serves as the K-pop girl group’s first new release in eight months, succeeding their sixth EP, “Rich Man,” which dropped in September 2025. Fans eager to get their hands on the album can rejoice as preorders for “Lemonade” officially commenced on Monday through all major online and offline music retailers.
