LG CNS proudly announced on Wednesday the unveiling of its groundbreaking next-generation logistics system, the Mobile Shuttle, at Modex 2026 in Atlanta. This premier event stands as North America’s largest manufacturing and supply chain exhibition, making it an ideal platform for showcasing this innovative warehouse automation solution.
Engineered for robust 24-hour operation, the Mobile Shuttle excels in challenging environments, including extreme cold storage facilities reaching temperatures as low as minus 26 degrees Celsius. This critical capability ensures the safer and more efficient handling of goods across vital cold chain sectors, including food processing, pharmaceuticals, and general distribution.
At the heart of the Mobile Shuttle’s efficiency are hundreds of advanced robotic units. These warehouse robots navigate within complex storage racks at impressive speeds of up to 1.5 meters per second, with each powerful unit designed to safely transport up to 1,500 kilograms of goods.
The Mobile Shuttle’s innovative four-way shuttle technology revolutionizes warehouse logistics. This design allows unrestricted movement with minimal path constraints, significantly boosting throughput and operational flexibility. When integrated with a high-density storage system, the solution achieves up to 30 percent greater storage efficiency compared to traditional material handling systems restricted to two-way movement.
This intelligent platform integrates cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) and sophisticated optimization algorithms to dramatically enhance both usability and overall warehouse efficiency. A dedicated AI agent facilitates seamless on-site control via intuitive chatbot commands, while real-time traffic optimization capabilities actively work to minimize congestion and eliminate operational bottlenecks.
Demonstrating strong global momentum, LG CNS has been actively expanding the deployment of its Mobile Shuttle solution worldwide since its initial launch at ProMat 2025 in Chicago, another leading logistics exhibition.
Notably, LG CNS has already secured a significant contract to implement this advanced warehouse automation system at a new Paris Baguette factory currently under construction in Texas. Furthermore, the Mobile Shuttle has been successfully integrated into various LG affiliate facilities throughout North America, solidifying its practical application and proven performance.
“We are committed to continually expanding our global footprint, leveraging our distinct competitiveness in developing high-density, high-efficiency logistics solutions that redefine industry standards,” stated Lee Jun-ho, head of LG CNS’ smart logistics and city business unit.
